Massage Therapy
Therapeutic Massage
Therapeutic massage is a beneficial way to reduce pain, ease discomfort and promote healing. It relaxes the soft tissues while increasing circulation to speed recovery time from injury. At Kian Holistic Health Clinic we also take our treatments a step further by providing our clients with take-home exercises to increase the benefits of the massage between visits.
Many of our clients also enjoy this treatment for relaxation, to reduce stress and as a healthy “tune up” to make you feel revitalized.
Pregnancy Massage
A must for all moms-to-be, each visit is tailored to the mother and her developing needs. For example, a treatment could be an overall relaxation massage or to address specific discomforts. To promote well-being for both mom and baby between visits, we can teach homecare stretches, strengthening and hydrotherapy techniques.
Infant Massage
Infant massage can help to encourage your baby’s growth both physically and mentally. This treatment is focused on your growing baby’s needs and, of course, you are welcome to sit in and learn the techniques for yourself. Moms and Dads find this massage beneficial for baby by easing discomforts such as gas (known to cause colic), constipation, and teething. Plus, it’s a great way to bond with your baby. An infant massage can get your beautiful baby off to a healthy start!
Massage therapy increases blood flow throughout the body while relaxing the muscles to treat a variety of musculoskeletal conditions such as neck and back pain, frozen shoulder, headaches, migraines, sciatica, stroke and more. It can be used to treat both acute and chronic conditions as well as for maintenance, disease prevention, and relaxation. Massage can be used alone or in combination with other therapies such as acupuncture, aromatherapy, cupping and moxibustion.
